Lodging Accommodations:
We have 8 winterized buildings in a variety of styles, the smallest accommodating 6 people, and the largest accommodating 53 people. Some have private baths, most have shared bathing facilities. The dining hall is air conditioned. Most groups provide their own linens, some small groups may rent linens. Family campground for tents and small RV's

Dining/Kitchen Facilities:
We have full food service, with delicious food and affordable rates. Guest groups are not permitted to use the commercial kitchen. We have one small 12 person facility with a small kitchen. If groups provide their own meals, they are responsible for all necessary cookware and disposable biodegradable serving products.

Religious Facilities:
We have a beautiful handicapped accessible outdoor chapel that seats 130. We also have numerous campfire circles and other natural areas suitable for worship.

Conference/Meeting Room Facilities:
Most facilities have their own meeting space. The largest can accommodate 130 people. All meeting spaces have chairs, and some tables, easels with newsprint, and TV with DVD-VCR. Data projectors may be rented from the facility.

Waterfront/Pool Facilities:
The pool is open from Memorial Day - Labor day, and requires an additional fee. A currently certified lifeguard must be present for water activities, and can be rented through the camp, or provided by the group.

Makemie Woods offers peaceful retreat facilities in an ideal location. Winterized facilities accommodate up to 130 guests, great food service, affordable rates. Zip-lines, educational opportunities, observatory, boating, pool, and other programming available. Located just off I-64 between Richmond and Williamsburg VA in a 275 acre forest surrounded by a reservoir. Retreat facilities available mid-August - mid-June.
